ORDERING INFORMATION

EASY, SECURE ORDERING
  It's easy to place an order with us online, by phone, fax, or mail.

Most orders received by 3:00 p.m. Eastern time will be shipped the same day.
If you need absolute assurance that an item will ship the same day please call 1-800-723-5359 to check stock.

Your online orders are safely transmitted to us using Secure Socket Layer technology (SHA2-256 key), certified by Geotrust.

Our phone hours are 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday.
   
WEBSITE FEATURES
  It is not necessary to register with our site in order to make purchases from our online store.

If you do register with the website, we will save your shipping information on our server, and protect it with a password.
We also offer registered customers a 'virtual tool crib' - after logging in to 'My Tool Crib' (found in the vertical left-hand navigation bar of any page) you can 'save a cart', and keep a group of items that you may want to buy at a later date.
This cart will be saved until used or deleted.

If you use a group of items on a regular basis, you can also save it as a 'recurring order'.
You can save multiple recurring orders - corresponding to the tools needed for a specific task, or for replenishing your drill dispenser, for example.

Please do not use the website for order tracking. Unfortunately, all orders will display as 'pending', even after shipment.
   
CHARGE CARDS
  We accept MASTER CARD, VISA, AMERICAN EXPRESS and DISCOVER. Just complete our secure online order form.

For security reasons, we do NOT save your credit card information with your account.
You will have to provide your card number each time you order by credit card.

To prevent fraud we also need the security code from your card.
This is either a 4 digit number found on the front of American Express cards, or the last 3 digits printed on the signature strip on the back of most other cards.
We reserve the right to require payment by wire transfer in advance.
   
MINIMUM ORDER is only $25.00 of merchandise.
   
OPEN ACCOUNTS
  If you wish to establish an open account, please provide names, phone numbers, and fax numbers of three trade references and your bank.

We will fax you a credit application if you prefer.

We accept written purchase orders from most schools and government agencies.

Terms for all open accounts are NET 30 DAYS.
   
SALES TAX
  We are located in Woodside, NY.
Unless we have a signed New York State tax exemption form on file at time of shipment, we will add sales tax to all orders shipped to addresses in New York State.
The sales tax will not appear at checkout, but will be added to the final invoice in your shipment.
Customers in states other than New York State may have an obligation to self-report and pay sales or use taxes to their state.
   
OTHER SHIPPING INFO
  All orders are F.O.B. New York City (or F.O.B. factory, if drop shipped).

Items under 150 lbs. will ship via UPS. Our online store provides a weight and zip code-based shipping cost for UPS Ground service for domestic orders up to 150 pounds in weight.
Please note that certain customer input errors may return an apparent $0 freight charge in the cart, but the correct actual cost of UPS Ground service will be calculated and charged- we do not offer free shipping.

UPS expedited shipping services (like Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, 3-Day Select) are available upon request- we will generally ask customers to approve a quote before we ship using these more expensive services.

We can ship UPS collect to destinations in the U.S.A., billing freight charges to your account if you request.
This service is offered as a courtesy, and we will not accept chargebacks if we accidentally ship prepay and add.

Our default shipping method to Puerto Rico is UPS 2nd Day Air.
UPS Ground service is available upon request.
We do not use USPS services to Puerto Rico.

We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes in the lower 48 states of the continental U.S.A.
We can ship using USPS Priority Mail for customers in Alaska or Hawaii upon request; please enter these requests in the cart's "comments" box.

Orders to APO/FPO locations will be sent using Priority Mail (insured as necessary.)

FedEx Air services are available for domestic orders, but require special pre-arrangements; these requests must be made early in the day.
For FedEx Air shipping, we must ship collect to your FedEx account number.
We do not ship by FedEx Ground.

Special packing requirements:
Orders with small amounts of drill rod or threaded rod (under $25.00 of rod) may require an second, specially packed box.
If a second box is needed this will incur an extra freight charge of $10.00.
For truck shipments over 150 pounds we will call or e-mail with the freight charges prior to shipping.
Most metalworking fluids must ship by ground for safety reasons.
   
EXPORT ORDERS
  We do ship internationally, using either UPS Worldwide services or USPS Priority Mail International service.
If we receive an order through our website, we'll respond with a freight quote and terms for each of those two delivery services.
Orders are not processed unless the customer approves a freight quote via return email.

We accept export orders through our website only.

We cannot provide freight quotes without an order.

We ship UPS orders daily; USPS PMI orders may be delayed several days.

Payment by credit card is acceptable for smaller orders.
Foreign orders over $250.00 USD value must be prepaid with a bank wire transfer; there is an additional $30.00 USD fee for this bank service (orders over $1000.00 USD are exempt from this fee.)
We do not accept PayPal.

Freight quotes do not include duties, taxes or other customs brokerage charges; other fees may apply and are the buyer's responsibility.
Customs/administrative fees are usually lower through postal services than through UPS.

If a foreign address cannot be entered into the order form's "address" data fields, the complete address can be typed into the "Comments" box.

We will not quote or use any US Postal Service other than "Priority Mail International" with insurance and tracking.
Unfortunately, this currently precludes the use of several "PMI Flat Rate" services.

We cannot use UPS "Collect" service for foreign shipments.

In most cases, we will not ship to locations where packages cannot be insured by the USPS.

If shipping via the USPS, we can provide you with the US Customs form number used to ship your package.
In most cases, you may track your package using this number and the USPS website, though the effectiveness of the USPS tracking system is quite limited.

For export USPS PMI orders, we add a handling fee of $5.00.
   
PREPAID ORDERS
  If you wish to pay for your order with a check or money order, just follow the online ordering procedure (UPS Ground service charges will be calculated automatically) and then print out the order form and send it to us in the mail, rather than sending it online.

You must include your phone number so we can reach you if there are any questions with your order.

New York State residents must calculate and add the appropriate sales tax. (NYS sales tax is based on the total value of the merchandise and the UPS shipping charge.)
   
NO-HASSLE RETURNS
  We want you to be satisfied with every order you place with Victor Machinery.

Any item that does not meet your needs or expectations may be returned (in original package and unused, unmarked condition, freight prepaid) within 20 days of shipment without restocking charge with the following exceptions:

Fluids, cut-to-length bandsaw blades, and custom made tools are final sale and cannot be returned.
Non-stock items and orders for large quantities of an item may be subject to a restocking charge.

Please notify us prior to all returns and refer to our invoice number, and let us know if you prefer replacement, credit, or a refund.

   
IN CASE OF DAMAGE OR SHORTAGE
  If you receive a shipment with visible exterior damage, you must report it to the UPS driver before signing for it (or note it on the delivery receipt, if a truck shipment.) Please call us promptly for further assistance.

Do not discard the packaging of any damaged or short shipment.

If there is damage that was not visible from the outside of the box, or if the packing slip is incorrect, please call or e-mail us right away.

All shortages and damage must be reported within 10 days of receipt.
   
PRICES
  Prices in our print catalogs (our most recent catalog was printed in 2013 and is for reference only) and online are subject to change without notice.
We will not ship an item ordered online at a higher price without your advance approval.
Some quantities are limited.
Not responsible for typographical or software errors.
   
LIABILITY
  In no case, except where prohibited by law, will our liability exceed the value of the products shipped.
