6-Piece Telescoping Gage Sets.

Double action, self-centering gages for taking inside measurements. The set of 6 gages will take measurements ranging from 5/16"- 6" (8mm- 150mm.)
Hardened and ground contact points.
Constant spring tension for uniform feel.
Knurled, rigid handle.
Sets are supplied in a fitted case.

A telescoping gage's spring-loaded contact points expand in the hole to be measured, and are then locked in place with the handle end-screw. The gage is then removed from the hole, and the hole size is obtained by measuring over the gage's contact points with a micrometer.

Gaging surface on model GA-SM290, GA-SM290E and MIT-154-901 is a half ball with a flat bottom, fully hardened.
Gaging surface on models GA-SM290F is a full ball with a flat bottom, fully hardened .
Knurled knob at end of handle is used for size adjustment.
Hole size is obtained by measuring over the contact points with a micrometer.
