Carbon flexback blades are general purpose blades - used on wood, plastic, and free machining metals.
Carbon blades are available in:
Standard (raker) tooth: 0° rake, rounded gullet, suitable for most applications - this pattern is provided unless otherwise specified.
Hook tooth: 10° positive rake for greater feeds; for wood, cast iron, or larger sections of mild steel.
Skip tooth: more chip clearance on soft materials such as aluminum, soft brass and plastics.
BiMetal Matrix II blades have greater heat resistance, and good toughness and shock resistance.
They are a good general purpose blade for metal cutting.
BiMetal blades are appropriate for solids and interrupted cuts like pipe, angle iron, or tubing.
