NPS Straight Thread HS Pipe Taps

Straight Pipe Taps. Ground Threads. High Speed Steel.

For cutting NPS (straight) pipe threads.

Besides use on pipes, NPS threads are frequently found on lamps and lighting fixtures.
You may see them described as 1/8 IPS or 1/4 IPS.

The actual size of the thread is larger than the "nominal" size.
For example, 1/16-27 NPS threads are 5/16" (.3125") in diameter.
